More than 200 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines had been administered in China as of April 21, 2021, according to the country’s National Health Commission. On the same day, US President Joe Biden celebrated reaching his 100-day goal of getting 200 million Covid-19 shots into the arms of Americans. Beijing has set a goal to vaccinate 560 million in China by the end of June, and the nation of 1.4 billion has ramped up its vaccination drive by offering incentives, including free eggs and shopping vouchers, to those who get the jabs.
