Tigray conflict: Ethiopian forces claim to have killed or captured most rebel leaders

Ethiopian forces on Saturday claimed they had captured or killed most commanders of the rebellious Tigray People’s Liberation Front.
In an interview with the state broadcaster, an Ethiopian military commander said the TPLF spokesperson’s house had been searched, along with two other rebel leaders.
Government forces also claimed to have captured an armoury and said they were closing in on the rebel leaders’ hideout.
TPLF leader Debretsion Gebremichael said people in Tigray were protesting looting by Ethiopian soldiers.
Thousands of people are believed to be dead and nearly 50,000 have been forced to flee to Sudan since fighting began on Nov. 4
