Police declare Liverpool Women’s hospital blast terrorist incident

Police have declared the explosion at Liverpool Women’s hospital a terrorist incident. A taxi burst into flames outside the building at 10.59am on Remembrance Sunday. Police later confirmed a male passenger had been pronounced dead at the scene. Russ Jackson, an assistant chief constable at the north-west counter-terrorism unit, told a press conference that police believed they knew the identity of the passenger but could not confirm it at this time
