In full: Star Trek's William Shatner blasts into space

It's one small step for man, one giant leap for ageing television sci-fi stars.

On Wednesday, William Shatner, the 90-year-old actor who starred as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, blasted off to the final frontier.

Shatner became the first nonagenarian to achieve the feat as he sat upfront a New Shepard rocket launched by Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin space tourism company.
