Canadian researcher helps discovery of 2-million-year-old ecosystem in Greenland

John Gosse, a geoscientist researcher with Nova Scotia's Dalhousie University, is part of an international team credited with unearthing the world's oldest ever DNA sample, found in a recent expedition to Greenland.

While it’s currently a barren Arctic desert, at one point it was a lush landscape of vegetation with an array of animals.

Global's Ross Lord looks at the doors this could open and the glimpse at life two million years ago.
