People in Berlin and Sydney gathered on Saturday to demonstrate against COVID-19 measures in China and support Chinese residents showing opposition to testing and quarantine restrictions.

Those in Berlin marched to Beijing's embassy, demanding "freedom in China" and for President Xi Jinping to resign, while people held signs with slogans, such as "From AUS to China Public Health Not Lockdowns" outside of Sydney City Hall.

The protests coincided with reports that Beijing is easing its testing and quarantine rules after more than 20 Chinese cities saw protests over the country's zero-COVID policy.
