Myanmar ramps up violent crackdown on anti-coup protesters

Al Jazeera, 27 Feb 2021
Security forces have intensified their crackdown on anti-coup protesters in Myanmar. On Saturday, they chased protesters through the streets, and used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse crowds.
However, demonstrators are refusing to back down. They are demanding the release of elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been detained since the military seized power earlier this month.
