On tonight’s top story: Canada's real gross domestic product (GDP) shrank 5.4 per cent in 2020, far more than predicted at the start of the pandemic and more than it ever has since the Great Depression. But, as David Akin explains, there are signs of the economy bouncing back.

As British Columbia plans to stretch the interval between the first and second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, other provinces are considering following suit. As Abigail Bimman reports, experts warn the strategy still involves too much uncertainty.

There is conflicting advice over who should be given the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. While a federal advisory group says the shot should not be given to people over 65, new research has other countries doing the opposite. Crystal Goomansingh explains.
