As his four-year US presidency comes to a controversial end, Donald Trump is leaving behind great divisions in some quarters of the nation’s Chinese immigrant community. Yiping Wu and Jack Jia were involved in Asian-American activism during Trump’s term, and both supported his campaign to become president back in 2016. But in the days before Trump leaves the White House, they are split on his legacy, reflecting a mixed response among many ethnic Chinese people in the United States.
