Pakistan health workers begin receiving Chinese-made vaccine

Frontline health workers in Islamabad are administered Chinese-made Covid-19 vaccines in a ceremony where commemorative shields are also given to the vaccinated staff. Beijing has donated about 500,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine -- which has yet to be fully approved by China's health authorities -- with a further million expected by the end of the month. But Pakistan is still months away from a mass roll-out of jabs.
