Lai Chi-wai was once one of the world’s best climbers, until a traffic accident left him a paraplegic. Although Lai lost the use of both legs, he did not give up his passion. In 2016, Lai climbed up Lion Rock in a wheelchair using only his upper body strength. Five years later, he attempted to climb the 320-metre Nina Tower in Tsuen Wan, hoping to help lift people’s spirits during the Covid-19 pandemic.
