Canada's proudest hockey dad, Walter Gretzky, was laid to rest in his hometown of Brantford, Ont. The biggest fan and father of hockey legend, Wayne Gretzky, passed away at age 82 on Thursday following complications from Parkinson's disease.

Wayne Gretzky paid tribute to his late father during a heartfelt eulogy on Saturday.

“He was a remarkable man who loved life, loved family. We’d be a way better world if there were so many more people like my dad,” he said.
