Mexican prosecutors have announced that they have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a Salvadoran woman captured on video as a police officer knelt on her back.
An autopsy concluded that refugee Victoria Salazar Arriaza's neck was broken as she was being restrained.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador denounced the killing which has drawn parallels with a Black man, George Floyd’s case, in the United States.
