Two major railway tracks were joined overnight, thanks to the efforts of more than 1,000 construction workers at Linghai South Station in northeast China on March 17, 2021. Within six hours, workers from the China Railway Shenyang Bureau managed to connect the tracks, reinstall signal lights and adjust overhead lines along the 1,806-metre (5,925ft) railway. The overnight construction kicked off the renovation of the station, which will serve as a crucial traffic node connecting Beijing and northeast China once the project finishes in April.
