Millions of Hindus offer flowers at temples as a symbol of purity and sacredness to the gods. Every year, about eight million tonnes end up in the Ganges river, along with toxic chemicals and pesticides. An Indian startup, Phool, now collects the discarded flowers and turns them into incense sticks.
