A data briefing has been held in Downing Street to outline how the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be rolled out now that it’s been approved for use by the UK’s independent healthcare regulator.

Dr June Raine, chief executive of the UK's vaccine and medicine regulator, says approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech jab has been given after "the most rigorous scientific assessment".
