Shell casings litter the ground and bullet holes are punched in the walls of buildings and sides of military trucks. The Dansha barracks saw the first shots fired in a conflict that has since engulfed northern Ethiopia's Tigray region. An Ethiopian army captain recalls the night that hostilities began, while an Ahmara special forces sergeant comments on the cooperation between his unit and the federal forces.
