COVID-19: Alberta officials provide update as cases continue to rise | LIVE
CA, 05 Jan 2022
Alberta premier Jason Kenney will join chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw on Tuesday to update the COVID-19 situation in the province. This will be the province's first update on COVID-19 in the new year after the final week of 2021 saw cases soar.
Alberta also lowered the isolation requirements for those double vaccinated with a positive case from 10 days to five effective on Monday.
Symptoms must be fully resolved by the end of the five-day period, otherwise, people must continue to isolate.
For five days after isolation, those people will be required to wear a mask around others at all times when in public.
Unvaccinated Albertans must continue to isolate for 10 days.
