Bangladesh’s estimated 1.5 million transgender people have long faced violence and discrimination. But now, transgender entrepreneurs in the conservative, Muslim-majority country are creating safe, discrimination-free work spaces for the marginalised community. The government has also implemented new laws in recent years, such as tax breaks for firms hiring transgender people, to help them integrate into society.
