Climate activists arrested as protest blocks M25 for second time

Telegraph, 15 Sep 2021
Climate protesters have blocked parts of the M25 again as they demanded Government action on home insulation.

Police have arrested dozens of people connected to the incident, which caused huge traffic queues on Wednesday

Activists from Insulate Britain stopped traffic at Junction 23 for South Mimms in Hertfordshire and the main carriageway from Junction 8 at Reigate to Junction 9 at Leatherhead, both in Surrey, at around 8am.

Demonstrators sat on the road, while stranded motorists beeped their horns. One disgruntled cafe owner refused money offered by the protesters after he was prevented from getting to work.
