The jury is now deliberating after the prosecution and defense delivered their closing arguments in the trial of Derek Chauvin, a former Minnesota police officer charged in the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, a Black man, died after Chauvin was videotaped with his knee pinned to Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes.

Chauvin, 45, is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The most serious charge carries a sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
