Drought threat | Record low water levels hit Brazil's Parana river basin

Brazil is raising the issue of considering operational restrictions on a number of hydroelectric dams due to the ongoing drought. According to the government, rainfall levels since October 2020 have been at their lowest in 91 years, leading to a decrease in water levels in the Parana River basin.
