EU's Šefčovič warns of 'crossroads' in Brexit dispute with UK on Northern Ireland

'Patience is wearing thin' with the UK on the Northern Ireland protocol, the European Commission's vice-president, Maroš Šefčovič, warned, adding the EU could take further legal action and potentially cross-retaliate, suspending some cooperation and imposing some tariffs. The UK Brexit minister, David Frost, has put forward concerns around maintaining peace in Northern Ireland, While Šefčovič postulated maintaining peace was of utmost importance, he added that Brexit could not be renegotiated now.
