France’s Macron marks bicentenary of Napoleon’s death

Al Jazeera, 06 May 2021

It is a sensitive commemoration, as Napoleon was also a despotic leader who reintroduced slavery to French colonies.

Al Jazeera's Natacha Butler reports from Nantes in western France.
