India COVID-19 cases surge to world’s second highest

India has surpassed Brazil to become the second most-affected country by the coronavirus.
It recorded nearly 170,000 new cases and 900 deaths on Sunday alone.
But despite the government blaming the second wave on people not following COVID-19 guidelines, large political and religious gatherings are still being held.
