When bike-sharing companies like oBike and Mobike went bust, they left behind tens of thousands of bikes in countries that they exited. Many of these bikes ended up in bicycle graveyards. But one entrepreneur from Myanmar found a way to turn this trash into treasure – by donating them to underprivileged children in Myanmar who take hours to walk to school, via the LessWalk Movement. #Bike

In Tajikistan, economic hardship drives millions of men abroad in search of jobs, leaving women behind. This has resulted in a cultural shift in this conservative, patriarchal society. More women are empowering themselves to work – as plumbers or taxi drivers – jobs that used to be mainly taken by men. #Tajikistan
