Benjamin Netanyahu forced from power after 12 years by new Israeli coalition

BBC, 14 Jun 2021
The Israeli parliament has approved a new coalition government, ousting Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister after twelve years in power.

The new government will be led by the right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett for the first two years, as part of a power sharing deal.

He will then hand power over to the leader of the centrist Yesh Atid, for a further two years.
