The Russian Defence Ministry has claimed their forces fired warning shots at a Royal Navy destroyer after it entered Russian territorial waters in the Black Sea.

Moscow also said a Su-24M warplane dropped four bombs close to HMS Defender.

However sources have told Sky News the claims are untrue and went on to say the Royal Navy stayed within international waters.
