Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold a media availability on Friday following a bilateral meeting during the president's visit to Canada.

According to reports, the two leaders were expected to discuss trade and security issues in what is Yoon's first visit to Canada since becoming president.

Trudeau plans to discuss ways the two countries can work more closely on energy, including electric vehicle batteries and critical minerals.

The two leaders will also explore ways the countries can continue working together on regional security issues on the Korean Peninsula.
