Quebec legislature adopts Bill 96 language reform

Quebec has voted to adopt its controversial Bill 96 language law reform, aimed at protecting and promoting the French language by limiting the use of English.

After months of fiery debate, Bill 96 passed with a 78-29 vote at the national assembly to thunderous applause.
