Southwest China's Yunnan Province is a medley of mountains, rivers and forests. In the city of Lijiang, the Yulong Snow Mountain, or Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is a tourist magnet thanks to its 13 peaks, 19 glaciers and breathtaking snow scenery. Its tallest peak Mount Shanzidou, a virgin peak, stands at 5,596 meters above sea level. In 1998, it was listed as a key national scenic spot.
